Steve has been a rock drummer in Seattle since 1989. He met Rob and Pete in 1994, and soon became interested in the unstoppable tropical beat of the Toucans. Now you can find Steve behind the drum set at many Toucans shows, driving the dance party with his superb rock sensibility. Say hi to Steve next time you see the Toucans!
Steve has been playing the drums around Seattle since the early 1990's with a couple of popular punk rock bands, and has drummed and toured world-wide on several occasions. He's a member of Seattle's Punkest Irish Band, Saint Bushmill's Choir, he's toured America, Europe and Japan with several superstar rock and roll bands, and he also likes to collect $100 bills. He also organizes the Annual St. Patrick's Day Bash, featuring lots of cool Seattle bands, extra-fine beverages, and sometimes even food.
Steve loves to fish, and will drop just about anything for a weekend of angling. He also studies Tae Kwan Do and recently took on the entire Seattle Police Department in a no-holds-barred deathmatch, earning his blue belt. Here Steve can be seen chomping on a moist hunk of pork, next to one of his many classic restored cars, his prized Austin-Healy (left), or posing next to his most recent acquirement, this 1931 Model A Ford (right). When gadding about town, Steve drives a bright red soccermobile, and doesn't stop for anything, so look out for Steve!
His alter ego "Dusty" is Seattle's premier booking agent, handling dozens of national and international acts for many of the Capitol Hill clubs and pubs. Here you can see Dusty making another important phone call from his private retreat in the Soundview Tower on Lake Union. Steve has recently acquiring a Master's Degree from the University of Washington, and is thinking of writing a book. Probably on gardening or something...
