The Bald Eagle

Symbol of America, this magnificent Bald Eagle was looking a little sad as he sat on a stump underneath a tarp at the Skagit County Fair in Mt. Vernon this weekend. Still, seeing one of these amazing animals close up is a humbling experience; the bird about 3 feet tall, and it's talons look like they could tear your heart out of your chest without too much trouble.
