OK, on our first trip to Second Use (the furnishing salvage center next to the South Park waste transfer station), we spotted these old classroom doors. Huge, heavy, with thick opaque glass filled with wire mesh. Turns out they're solid wood doors completely sheathed in metal, which is painted to look like wood! Totally secure, and pretty soundproof, relatively speaking.
