All of the music here is suitable for the beginning to advanced
steelband. Some charts are 3 or 4 part arrangements,
some are just a lead sheet with chords. Have fun!

You may have to come up with a song structure, or an intro & ending on your own;
these arrangements are not complete 'start-to-finish' pieces, simply charts to
help you and your band get going with a couple of solid pieces of music.

The Charts:

Mary-Ann	(Lead sheet)	This simple 2-part calypso is a longtime steelband favorite.
By the Rivers of Babylon	(Parts 1 2 3 4 )	Play this arrangement in a slow 4 beat style for that authentic Jimmy Cliff vibe.
Jean & Dinah	(Lead sheet)	The classic calypso hit of 1956, sung by The Mighty Sparrow.
Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da	(Parts 1 2 3 )	The Beatles are rumored to have written this tune after hearing the calypso beat for the first time.
On Broadway	(Lead Sheet)	This funky George Benson tune sounds great on the pans!
Steampipe Rhumba	(Parts 1 2 )	Originally a latin tune called "Cachita", this tune evokes the power of the "engine room", the rhythm section at the heart of every big steelband.
Put Out De Fire	(Lead sheet)	Another calypso tune from the golden age of the steelbands.
Fire Down Below	(Parts 1 2 3 )	Phase II came inches away from claiming the championship at Panorama in 1989 with this blockbuster.
Recuerdos Del Pasado	(Pages 1 2 )	Sam Manning's Rhythm Boys play this Venezuelan Waltz, recorded in 1934. A complex 5-part piece.
