On Broadway

George Benson probably didn't have steel drums in mind when he wrote this tune,
but he should have! It sounds great on the pans, and can be easily learned by
even the beginning steelband. It's fun to play for all skill levels, and the advanced
players can take turn soloing over the chord changes.

Lead Sheet

This is a basic arrangement, which can be expanded as necessary. All pans except leads vamp
at the top, then play the melody twice. Vamp again (leads play the lead vamp this time),
give the double seconds the melody, then vamp "ad infinitum", with the lead vamp, the
double seconds vamp, and solos, if desired. Drums lay down the funky four throughout.
