The Toucans, based in tropical Seattle, have been playing Pan around the Pacific Northwest for over 13 years, and there's no end in sight. Their high-energy rhythms and eclectic yet ever tasteful musical sensibilities will get your body moving and your spirit soaring!
The Toucans are a dynamic four-piece steel band, and they travel all over the Northwest in a spotless white van, always looking for fun, adventure, and that next bowl of potato salad. Over the years, the Toucans have made loads of friends, buckets of great music, all kinds of crazy scenes, and even a mortal enemy or two. Take a look at the Toucans 2004, 2005, 2006 & 2007 Super Summer Adventure photo galleries for proof!
And talk about Quality Merchandise! The Toucans have many self-produced cassettes and CD's available for purchase, including our newest CD, Beak Sounds, our best-selling album Steel Drums Old & New, Vol. 2, and our tasty full-length CD, Steel Drum Buffet. This smorgasbord of Caribbean music includes some home-cooked favorites as well as nutritious classics from the prime of the Steel Band era. Our most popular album , Steel Drums Old & New, Vol 1, features music from the hit puppet show, Tales of the Caribbean, the Toucans' award-winning elementary school assembly program.

Toucans in Taiwan! In October of 2002, the Toucans were invited to perform at the 2002 International Steel Sculpture Festival in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Three of the Toucans hopped onto a plane and had a fantastic week in tropical southwest Taiwan, performing for hundreds of people who had quite probably never seen steel drums before. We were very well treated, and have a couple of nice photos to prove it. We're hoping to return again soon!
