Steel Drum Buffet is the sixth full-length album from the Toucans, Seattle's "tony tigers of steel"! We've taken all the tastiest, most nourishing songs from the Toucans repertoire and served them up good and proper in this delicious new offering.

The Toucans perform at dozens of catered events all summer long, and it seems like we're always playing right next to the buffet table! This unique vantage point has given us a healthy appreciation for the combination of good food and great steel drum music. The best thing about buffets is the variety, so we've cooked up a wide range of musical delicacies for your consumption!

About the Artists

The Toucans have all been playing professionally in the Pacific Northwest for over 15 years! The 4-piece band started at the Evergreen State College in the 1980's, and has been wowing audiences with their wacky steel drum antics ever since. The Toucans perform at many public concerts and festivals in the Puget Sound region, and also play numerous private events; weddings, company picnics, dog kennel dedications, etc.

The Toucans are known for their sense of humor as well as their electic musical sensibility, playing Beatles songs, Latin favorites, 1930's Calypso music from Trinidad, toe-tapping Swing standards, rootsy Reggae, and much, much more!

The group consists of 3 pan players (tenor bass, double seconds and lead pan) and a kit drummer, but together they sound like a whole orchestra! Hear for yourself on the latest, greatest Toucans album, Steel Drum Buffet.
